The arm on the socket is metal rather than plastic, which I appreciate. As soon as I did so, blam. It figured out the pc just fine though so I’m not sure what the deal with the chip was.

It came with a panel for all the ports in back, which is nice, since with the 4 USB and 1 RJ ports crammed back there, the one that came with my case wasn’t cutting it. I tested the internal USB header by plugging my mouse into it and it worked fine, as did the 4 ports in back.
It’s that little extra bit of sturdiness that ensures you won’t for whatever reason get a chip stuck in the socket. And this board makes it so easy. I guess my warning is this That caveat aside, this is an excellent overclocker’s board.

My radeon and soundblaster slid into their slots easily but snugly, as did my ram. I noticed this before I purchased it and went ahead with the decision anyways, but it’s still disappointing.
